CMCC Position cod. 12660 Division Manager – SOWAS Division, ICR Institute Deadline: January 31th, 2025 WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR The Institute for Climate Resilience (ICR) is launching a new research division: the Soil and Water Systems (SOWAS) division. The Division will cooperate with other CMCC Divisions to integrate its research areas with CMCC's strategic programs and other Institutes. The ICR institute is looking for a Division Manager, within this new SOWAS Division. ROLE The Division Manager is responsible for overseeing all administrative activities within the division and its projects, including planning, budgeting, personnel management, procurement, travel, and project administration/management. RESPONSIBILITIES The Division Manager will be responsible for: Operational processes related to opening research projects and their financial, administrative, and reporting management, in collaboration with Project Managers and Central Services. Administrative personnel management activities of the Division with a strategic approach (stabilizations, promotions, contract renewals, attendance monitoring, MBO, hiring, terminations, and disciplinary actions). Management of division procurement. Three-year planning and monitoring of Division scientific activities in line with the Division's strategic objectives. Supporting the Division Director in the implementation of fundraising strategies and defining scientific proposal plans, acting as a liaison with the Fundraising Office. Elaboration and monitoring of (semi-annual and annual) budgets, in coordination with the Legal, Communication, and Procurement Offices. Implementation of Division networking activities and dissemination of scientific activities. REQUIREMENTS Strong focus on research objectives. Ability to coordinate and manage personnel. Ability to plan, organize, and supervise research activities. Good communication and interpersonal skills. DURATION, COMPENSATION & BENEFITS The appointment is assigned by the Institute Director and the Executive Director on the proposal of the Division Director, following internal or external selection. The gross annual salary will be based on qualification and working experience. The Division Manager will preferably be based at CMCC Office in Caserta.
