About the RoleFTI's Corporate Finance segment encompasses our Restructuring, Business Transformation, Transactions Services and Digital Science teams, providing a holistic offer for our clients and a rewarding experience for our staff.

In Corporate Finance at FTI Consulting, we focus on our clients' strategic, operational, financial and capital needs by addressing the full spectrum of financial and transactional challenges faced by corporations, boards, private equity sponsors, creditor constituencies and other stakeholders. Our services include pre-deal commercial and operations due diligence, post-merger integration, business plan development, financial restructuring and insolvency solutions, and performance improvement including interim management.
We've worked globally on some of the most high-profile restructurings and insolvency cases. Recent cases include Hertz Global, Gieves & Hawkes, ED&F Man, Prezzo, Cote Brasserie, The Collective, Thomas Cook, Polarcus, Noble Group, DeepOcean, and Adler.
We work with major international financial institutions, private equity houses, global law firms, and corporates, on cases encompassing an extensive range of industries. We work closely with clients to quickly ascertain key issues and implement viable and sustainable restructuring solutions and exit strategies.

What You'll DoOur interns will gain an overview of all aspects of Corporate Finance at FTI. The successful candidate will participate in project teams, working with clients on the execution of various engagements.
Day-to-day tasks will vary by day, but you can expect to undertake many of the following:
Market and company analysis to identify advisory opportunities and contribute to pitches, stakeholder presentations, and industry thought-pieces. Communication with various stakeholders, including creditors, directors, and employees. Case progression, including preparation of statutory documents, reports, and maintaining files. Financial and operational modelling. Operational analysis (e. g. , OEE assessment, FTE benchmark). Company financial analysis. Market analysis. Identification of upside/downside potential. Development of implementable improvement plans. Carve-out and integration planning. Private equity due diligence reports. Programme management and implementation support. Contribute to presentation and report writing. Participation in client/internal meetings (potential travel requirement). Depending on capability and opportunity, being a part of a project and supporting team with analysis and deliverable creation. Researching an identified sector or business to evaluate past trends, market sentiments, strategic, operational, commercial issues and opportunities and potential improvement areas. How You'll GrowAt FTI, you'll be working on headline-hitting cases and building a foundation in corporate finance, you will also work flexibly to support your team as required. What You Will Need to SucceedMust be available to work in an 8-week, full-time internship from 30th June 2025 – 22nd August 2025. Any degree discipline will be considered, quantitative degrees preferred (e. g. , Engineering, Economics, Finance, Business, etc). Interest and passion for restructuring, business transformation and transactions. Ability to think logically and work with numbers. Inquiring mind and strong desire to learn and develop. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Good organisation, self-management, proactivity, and teamwork skills. Critical thinking skills and ability to think on your feet. Computer literate with strong Excel and PowerPoint skills. Fluent English and Italian speaker and writer.
