Account Director, Southern Europe
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPThe Account Director reports to the VP Europe.
The Account Director works closely with and provides guidance to Revenue Management, Sales, Marketing, and Finance departments in support of his/her regional hotels.
From time to time additional support may be required by other departments. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESMember Relations, Retention and SupportA.
Provide the first point of contact and facilitate all communication with PH&R for member hotels in the region.
Identify key decision makers and influencers at each hotel in order to build strong business relationships. B.
Maintain regular contact with all hotels in the region by personal visit, telephone, and regional meetings.
Deliver all product training necessary. C.
Renew, with support of the VP, all existing member hotel contracts in a timely manner. D.
Assist in the implementation phase of all new hotels in the region.
The implementation phase would include a property visit, training in the basics of working with PH&R, and ongoing support of our sales, marketing, and revenue team for all new hotels. E.
Conduct or support (if run by another team member) bi-annual iPrefer trainings for each hotel in the region. F.
With an in-depth knowledge of distribution, work with the PH&R revenue manager or director within the region for revenue improvement of member hotels and increased profits for PH&R. G.
Work in close collaboration with the domestic and global sales team to ensure effective sales support is provided to all hotels within the region. H.
Conduct formal, scheduled, operational reviews with each hotel in the region on a regular basis with the revenue account manager or director and provide ad hoc support as required. I.
Monitor, manage and have primary responsibility for the accounts receivable of regional hotels with support of central PH&R finance team. J.
Initiate regional sales and marketing activities and programsto support member properties.
Support and sell PH&R brand and co-op programs within the region. K.
Work toward and report on the achievement of regional and position specific goals as defined by the companys and the regions annual SMART goals. L.
Provide timely scheduled and, as assigned, ad hoc status reports on areas of responsibility. M.
Support development efforts in the region with preparation work and meeting attendance. N.
Basic knowledge of CRS within 6 months and proficiency in Power BI. O.
I Prefer Program develop knowledge of the program to support hotel engagement in EuropeQUALIFICATIONS Degree in business or hotel management (BB/BS/BA) 8+ years of travel industry related sale, marketing, or revenue management experience required.
A proven track record for developing customer relationships and strategic results-oriented programs.
Fluency in spoken and written Italian and English.
Other languages a plus.
Strong experience in hotel sales and/or revenue management, or closely related.
Outstanding communications and persuasion skills, both written and verbal.
Competency in the use of business software for communications and presentations Strong business acumen, analytical and multi-dimensional strategic-thinking skills required.
Strong knowledge of electronic distribution channels for hotel and travel industry.
High energy and commitment required.
Strong team-work and team-building skills required.
Experience with global markets, cultural awareness and international thinking helpfulWORKING CONDITIONSWorking environment is office based.
This person is seated most of the time. Potentially 50% of time spent traveling, primarily in the region and occasionally outside of the region for meetings. PH&R REQUIRED TRAINING1.
Orientation in the Chicago and/or other PH&R office2.
