Account Manager
This position has responsibility for all commercially relevant issues and account profitability associated with customer vehicle programs in RFQ phase, development and serial which are assigned to this individual by the SM.
Is responsible for completing and submitting support documentation for packing, spot buys and prototype PO's.
Supports Business Director/ Sales manager at internal planning and budgetting process (e. g.
ISM, IHS-Volume reviews).
The individual has the knowledge and experience to understand the customer's expectations.
Actively contributes in developping plans to meet internal and external expectations in programs which are assigned to this individual by the BD or SM.
Supports the Program Manager in maintaining and improving the financial performance of assigned programs.
Acts as the commercial interface between customer and Cooper Standard on low to medium working level.
Supports the Business Director and/or Sales Manager and does the practical work during the RFQ/offering process.
**Required knowledge/education, qualification/ability and/or experience
1- Successfully completed Bachelor or Master or Diploma Degree in engineering and/or business administration, or equivalent.
2- 2/3 years of experience working with OEM customers.
3- Fluent in English
4- Industry knowledge of customers, competitors, products and dynamics (advance expertise)
5- Financial experience and knowledge.
6- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
7- Work experience in cross-functional environment (i. e.
Quality, Engineering, Operations, Purchasing and/or Program Management).
8- Experience with customer purchasing organizations.
Understanding of customer decision making processes.
9- Experience with customer engineering environment.
10- Experience with customer quality environment.
11- Basic understanding of customer manufacturing and assembly environment.
12- Basic experience within all phases of the selling cycle with negotiation experience.
