Account Manager
Job Summary: Drive incremental growth for the Chemical Analysis Division's Environmental & Process Monitoring business in South- and East Europe as the Regional Sales Manager at Thermo Fisher Scientific. Collaborate with customers, develop Go-To-Market plans, and understand competitors to close deals with a 'must-win' mentality. Key Responsibilities:• Collaborate with direct and indirect customers to create and maintain a healthy pipeline of sales opportunities• Develop and maintain Go-To-Market plans for the region in close collaboration with the local Channel Manager• Understand the strengths and vulnerabilities of major competitors and develop sales strategies to respond effectively• Be creative in finding ways to close deals based on a 'must-win' mentalityRequirements:• Bachelor's Degree, advanced degrees preferred• 5+ years of sales experience with a documented track record of success• 2+ years of experience as an indirect people and/or distribution manager• Must have sold capital pieces of equipment• Ability to travel 50%+ across the assigned territory• Strong technical knowledge of the chemical and/or environmental industry and experience selling in those markets• Self-starter and able to work on your own• Ability to prospect new business and have that "hunter" attitude• Strong communication skills – orally and written in English• Strong organizational and time management skills
