Account Manager Intern - Maternity Coverage

You will manage the life science portfolio, including reagents and instruments from these lines: Molecular Biology, Cellular Culture, Cellular Analysis, Sample Preparation and Protein Biology for the Invitrogen, Applied Biosystem, Gibco and Thermo Scientific brands.
The primary functional objective of this commercial intern role is direct contact with customers, to initiate and develop relationships, which will ultimately generate sales.
The position is fix term (maternity coverage) and will be remote with flexibility to come to our office in Monza when needed.
**Accountabilities
- Identify sales opportunities with new and existing customers and successfully manage the sales of company products and services to achieve or exceed the assigned territory sales plan.
- Maintain and increase current customer database through Company customer relation's management software (Sales Force CRM) and coordinate sales processes for assigned accounts within your sales territory.
- Communicate with research scientists at all accounts to discover their needs through a sales consultative approach, share product information and create sales presentations.
- Participate in sales, product and systems training, marketing campaigns and special projects as presented by the Company to develop appropriate selling skills consistent with Company philosophy, policies, and procedures.
- Coordinate quotations within Company Guidelines by extending competitive pricing as needed to maintain and increase revenues with guidance from Management and/or Marketing.
- Provide sales forecast for assigned territory to support business understanding.
**How will you make an impact?
As part of the commercial team of Thermo Fisher Scientific's Bioscience Division you will be in daily contact with numerous customers from Research organizations, Start-Up companies or public institutions.
The customers will be located primarily in the Lombardia.
By your enthusiastic effort you will make sure that our clients will get those products that fit their needs and you will guide them through our organization and processes to receive the best support to reach their goals.

**Knowledge and skills**:
- Minimum BSc within Life Sciences required, preferred Master.
- Sales mindset; strongly motivated by targets
- Strong communicator; able to engage and influence at all levels
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and desire to succeed
- Ability to manage time effectively to prioritize and complete tasks required with attention to details
- Computer skills in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, or similar required
- Good level of English.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to function effectively in a high-performance team

The position is remote with flexibility to come to our office in Monza when needed.
