Account/Sales Executive
Darwin Recruitment are hiring for an Account/Sales Executive on behalf of a business in Rome that was founded in 2016, currently has around 20 employees and collects data to provide to government, defence or commercial companies to detect if 1cm – 10cm size space debris will hit customers' satellites. This information allows companies to manoeuvre their satellites and prevent damage occurring from space debris hitting and causing millions of $ worth of damage. Job Description: They are seeking an experienced Account/Sales Executive to drive business growth in the aerospace and defense sector, with a particular focus on acquiring and nurturing strategic client relationships. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in B2B sales and a deep understanding of space technology solutions, enabling them to effectively align client needs with our advanced offerings. Key Responsibilities: Client Acquisition & Relationship Management: Identify and secure new business opportunities, while maintaining strong relationships with existing aerospace and government clients. Sales Strategy & Pipeline Development: Develop and execute sales strategies that align with company goals, managing the sales pipeline to drive growth. Technical Understanding: Communicate the company's space technologies and solutions effectively, understanding the unique needs of each client. Contract Negotiation & Closing Deals: Negotiate terms and close deals, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with product development, engineering, and marketing teams to align offerings with customer requirements. Market Research: Stay informed on industry trends, competitors, and new developments in the aerospace and defense sectors. Requirements: Degree in business, aerospace engineering, or related field. At least 5 years of experience in B2B sales, ideally in the space or defense sector. In-depth knowledge of space technologies and government procurement processes. Strong communication and negotiation skills, with proficiency in English and Italian (additional languages a plus). Qualifications: Experience with complex sales cycles and strategic account management. Familiarity with CRM, automation tools, and ongoing reporting.
