**About the role

In this role, the

**Accountant **reporting to Gloria, our Controller, will be working closely with all Scalapay geographies to increase the company's efficiency and profitability by assisting with the formulation of both the medium and long-term financial plan.

**You will**:

- Performing day-by-day accounting entries, monthly account reconciliations, and various types of journal entries review

- Support the improvements of accounting-invoicing processes

- Bookkeeping revenues and expenses

- Contribute to the external and internal audit process of the group

- Take part in ad hoc projects and have the opportunity to put forward and drive projects on your own

- Develop as a professional in an entrepreneurial organisation and work with highly skilled colleagues

**You'll be great for this role if you**:

- Have 3+ years of experience

- (Nice to Have) Are experienced in IFRS, preferably from banking, large Finance Services, Big 4 or Fintech

- Have prior accounting experience, in medium to large-sized organisations.

Alternatively may have actively audited such organisations

- Are naturally curious and interested in understanding the flow of data.

- Are fluent English speaker_ (_all the daily activities are related to non-Italian subsidiaries_)_

- Have advanced computer software skills, Excel and other accounting packages (NetSuite knowledge will be a plus)

- Desired typing speed: 60 words per minute
