Account Payable Accountant - Volvo Car Italia

**What you'll do as our Account Payable Accountant**:

You will be part of Accounting & Tax team including four team members within the Finance & Business Control department of VCI in order to ensure efficient and harmonized alignment between invoices, purchase orders and the internal cost control, in a manner that is accurate, timely, fitting the requirements of internal customers, external suppliers and auditors, while in line with local governing accounting principles.

The main purpose is to provide tax compliance in the account payable process.

**Main activities for you in the role of Account Payable Accountant**:

- process vendor invoices in SAP

- process outgoing payments

- monthly reconcile the accounts payable ledger and a set of general ledger accounts

- perform purchase orders accounting checks and generate purchase orders when necessary

- be the main contact in case of vendor inquiries

- prepare accruals for the monthly Financial Statement submitted to Group

- help improve processes and procedures / implement new projects

Location and contract conditions: you will be **located in the Bologna area with a Temporary Contract.

**1 year **- Horizontal Part-Time 6 hours/daily

**Do you fit the profile?

To be successful in this role you should have a strong interest in accounting, curiosity for digitalization and the will to improve processes and solve ad hoc accounting questions in parallel when developing yourself.

Your analytic capabilities and computer skills are strong, and you possess abilities to grasp the big picture.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's or master's degree in Economics, or a similar level of education

- 1+ years of significant experience of Account Payable clerk or similar role

- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles

- Intermediate knowledge of Italian VAT laws

- Excel proficiency (e. g.

vlookups, pivot tables) and Digital skills

- Business English and Italian both written and spoken

If you have experience working in SAP R/3, Hyperion FM or OneStream it's an advantage.
