**Responsibilities
- Manage general accounting activities including journal entries, withholding taxes, etc.
- Review and post transactions related to deferred revenue and indirect taxes, including Sales Tax, VAT
- Prepare tax documents
- Ensure accurate maintenance of VAT registers, general ledger, journal, inventory, fixed assets, and allocation of costs and revenues
- Create ad-hoc reports for various business needs
- Compile and analyze financial statements
- Perform month-end and year-end closing activities and collaborate with the management control and treasury teams
- preparing annual financial statements in compliance with regulations, including income tax calculations
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow
- Preparing and reviewing the working trial balance to ensure it accurately reflects the company's financial status.
- Regularly reconcile all bank accounts and specific balance sheet accounts such as prepayments and accruals, ensuring all financial data is accurate and up to date.
- accounts payable activities, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
- Manage and reconcile intercompany transactions, ensuring all entries are accurate and reflect the status of intercompany balances.
**Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Ability to interpret and analyze financial statements and periodicals
- Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
)
- 5+ years of experience in similar roles
- Strong knowledge of Italian accounting principles and regulations
- Fluent in both written and spoken English and Italian
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team
