Accounting Analyst
Accounting Analyst - 1 year contract, hybrid working
Based in the Stryker office in Rome, the mission of the Accounting Analyst is to support the Accounting & Accounts Receivable Manager on the main Accounting and Tax tasks being a relevant point of reference for Shared Service Center, finance trainee and external consultants.
This is a temporary 1 year contract position where you will support the local team manage Accounting activities as the recently opened Finance Shared Service Center in Poland is established.
**Key Activities & Accountabilities**:
Integration activities and Balance transfer
- Participates in planning and coordination meetings for integration
- Liases with integration accounting team, local finance and SSC for balance transfer purposes
- Supports and verifies all related analysis and details
Accounts reconciliation
- Supports SSC for accounts reconciliation related to integrations and core business being the main point of reference for the accounts assigned
- Provides appropriate supports in line with corporate policies and SOX requirements
VAT
- Performs VAT liquidations together with the finance trainee
- Reconciles accounting records with VAT registers, provides entries to SSC and mantains clean accounts
- Main point of reference for the tax consultant with periodical and annual VAT reporting tasks
Withholding Taxes
- Reviews monthly withholding tax reports prepared by the finance trainee
- Main point of reference for the labor consultant for the annual withholding tax return
Statutory Accounts
- Supports the Finance Manager with the preparation of statutory accounts and related explanatory notes/liases with external auditors
TP Reporting
- Provides IC transaction analysis for the preparation of TP reporting
Internal Control Activities
- Supports the Finance Manager with periodic PAR review
- Understands the overall system of controls in place and support if required on implementation/effectiveness
Monthly Closing Activities
- Calculates and prepares support for local accruals (e. g.
freight)
- Manages accounting entries for local bank balance
- Supports for ad hoc closing activities
- Trains and acquires knowledge to act as a backup for the closing activities performed by the Finance Manager
Other
- Adhoc project as per assigned by CFL
- Support in maintaining policies applicable for AR (together with CFL)
- Ensure SOX compliance for activities assigned
**What you need**:
- Degree in Economics or similar
- Fluent in Italian; good written and oral skills in English is mandatory
- At least two years experience in accounting and tax
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel
- Strong interpersonal and team working skills essential
- High level of ethical and professional standards
