**The role

As an Accounting Specialist you will be placed in the finance and operation services team, a key area for the company's success.

You will work together with the Finance Director and the Accounting Manager to ensure that all daily corporate, financial, accounting and controlling initiatives are diligently performed while maintaining the opportunity to make an impact with your contribution also in challenging non-recurring activities.

In addition, working together with other OPS Team members you will:

- Execute day-to-day accounting activities of the company including monthly close, accounts receivable, payable expenses, and more

- Reconcile cash & cash equivalents and other accounts ensuring proper classification/documentation

- Perform data analysis tasks at a different level of aggregation

- Prepare periodical reports for the management team

- Co-lead the systematic spending review of the company to find cost optimization opportunities

- Support the financial statements closing and audit process, under a multinational framework, including preparation of materials and coordination with the external audit team

**Some important details**:

- Empatica is an international environment with offices in Europe and the US, and so we conduct all our work in English.

- We are operating a hybrid model where our employees choose whether to work from home or come to the office, however this is not a full-remote position

**Requirements**:

You are the ideal person for this job if you:

- Have 3/5 years of relevant working experience in corporate finance and accounting

- Degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus

- Have a good understanding and knowledge of accounting principles (ITA GAAP, IFRS, US GAAP), practices, standards, laws and regulations

- Have proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures, financial records, and data set through Excel

- Are accurate and precise; your attention to detail is spot-on and you have superb organizational skills

- Are fluent in English and good Italian.

You can read and write fluently in English and are able to have verbal and written conversations in Italian

- Are tech savvy and can quickly master new tools and platforms
