We are looking for an Accounting Specialist to join our pre-opening team.

The role will report to the Accounting Manager.

Conveniently located adjacent to Rome Termini Station and a short distance from the Colosseum, the 238-room Hyatt Regency Rome Central is a contemporary 5-star hotel offering premium business services and one of Italy's most dazzling leisure rooftop experiences.

Main duties and responsibilities: Oversee and manage the accounts receivable process, including daily monitoring of revenues, discounts, complimentary items, and cancellations.

Perform daily cash and credit card reconciliation, ensuring proper recording in the general ledger.

Monitor and reconcile guest paid out transactions.

Perform daily review and reconciliation of income and transactions, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Manage reconciliations of deposit accounts and other balance sheet accounts.

Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger, ensuring accurate allocation of payments.

Ensure accurate and timely processing of the city tax.

Support the accounts payable process, including invoice verification, coding, and posting.

Collaborate with operational departments to ensure accurate cost allocation and compliance with internal controls.

Support analytical accounting and cost center reporting, providing insights and analysis to management.

Assist in preparing financial reports and documentation for internal and external audits.

Skills and requirements: Good knowledge of general accounting principles and Italian fiscal law.

Strong understanding of both accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.

Familiarity with analytical accounting and cost center management.

Knowledge of Business Central and Opera Cloud is highly preferred.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Good knowledge of English.
