Job Description Summary:

Accounting Specialist Italy

We are looking for an Accounting Specialist who will be responsible for Financial bookkeeping and support the Accounting Manager in periodical accounting closing activities.

**Job Description**:

Main Responsibilities:

- Look after all the administrative and accounting processes (invoicing, intercompany reconciliations, month-end and year-end journals, accruals, assets bookkeeping, etc. )

and support the Accounting Manager in periodical closing activities- Assist the Accounting Manager in the preparation of an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end closing, maintaining reports and files on accrued income and expenses- Provide assistance to the Accounting Manager in preparing documentation requested by External Auditors- Keep track of changes in tax, accounting and business requirements and propose changes to the accounting framework- Draw up the statutory financial statements of certain entities- Draw up mandatory reports required annually by the energy authority (ARERA - Unbundling)- Maintain accounting rules and work cross functionally to develop specific sub-processes- Support the right implementation of new tools to simplify day-by-day activities- Resolve various issues with suppliers, landowners, municipalities such as communication of the Company data changes and requests related to payments confirmation and processing- Cooperate with the team to guarantee compliance and accuracy in internal process- Collaborate with the other Finance and Technical Departments to reach overall department goals and objectives.

Key Requirements:

- Advanced knowledge of accounting and tax procedures- Good knowledge of Italian GAAP (OIC).

IFRS knowledge is considered a plus- Good knowledge of Microsoft MS Excel, MS Word and MS Power Point- Attention to details- Experience in use of automated accounting systems (such as Microsoft Dynamics, Piteco or Profis)- Ability to organize work independently- Team player- Good knowledge of English

Studies and previous experience- Bachelor or Master degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics or a related field- 3+ years of accounting experience
