#JoinJWVenice WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Our marvelous resort, JW Marriott Venice Resort & Spa, seeks a passionate, bright, talented Accounts Payable.

ROLES AND TASKS: General Finance and Accounting Organize, secure, and maintain all files and records in accordance with document retention and confidentiality policies and procedures.

Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes.

Record, store, and/or analyze information using property software.

Complete period-end closing procedures and reports as specified.

Document, maintain, communicate, and act upon all Cash Variances according to SOPs.

Reconciling processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances Paying vendors by scheduling paychecks and ensuring payment is received for outstanding credit; generally responding to all vendor inquiries regarding finance.

Keeping track of all payments and expenditures, including payroll, purchase orders, invoices, statements, etc.

Participate in internal, external, and regulatory audit processes and ensure compliance with SOPs.

Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.

Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Communication Speak to guests and co-workers using clear, appropriate, and professional language.

Provide assistance to coworkers, ensuring they understand their tasks.

Talk with and listen to other employees to effectively exchange information.

Working with Others Support all co-workers and treat them with dignity and respect.

Qualifications Whilst a degree is not mandatory for an Accounts Payable role, an understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting skills is required.

A degree in the following subjects would be beneficial for an Accounts Payable career: Finance or Economics Business Studies Accounting Marriott International is an equal opportunity employer.
