What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be _**:
- Manage purchasing requisitions and issue purchase orders, maintaining delivery dates up to date and defining re-order points, safety stock
- Create and manage price lists
- Analyze market and workload conditions to determine materials availability and lead times from approved suppliers
- Negotiate contracts and cost savings with vendors
- Identify and follow-up strategic sourcing projects in collaboration with corporate commodity managers
- New vendors scouting
- Improve supplier on-time delivery and non-conformity rate
- Develop and implement programs to optimize inventory turns and improve working capital performance
- Define make/buy analysis in collaboration with Production Planning
- Manage the whole material flow for subcontracted works
- Liaise with Engineering, Production and Quality Assurance to ensure plant and company goals are achieved
- Act as key-user for the SAP implementation and integration with group standard routines
- Integrate and collaborate with VRV Purchasing Dept, supporting also other plants specific activities
**_ Requirements & Preferred Qualifications will be _**:
- Master's degree in Engineering/Economics or equivalent background
- Materials and transformation technologies knowledge (metals, castings, turning and milling operations)
- Typical cost factors and Production KPIs knowledge
- Basic finance concepts knowledge (P&L, opex/capex, fix/variable costs, full costing model)
- Proficient in MS office, Power BI.
- Proficient in English.
- Humble, dynamic, proactive and flexible to manage different tasks in a growing context
- SAP knowledge is a plus
- 2/3 years experience in manufacturing environment ISO 9001 is a plus
