Year after year, due to continuous growth, we need to work smarter to make workplaces safer. To achieve this, we are seeking a Prevention and Protection Officer with a proactive approach who can take an additional step to ensure Health and Safety throughout the Warehouse. The position is a crucial figure in the Health and Safety department, reporting directly to the Head of the Prevention and Protection Service. The main responsibilities will include: Conducting Risk Assessments and verifying the implementation of control measures until completion. Preparing daily reports on internal metrics and reporting deviations. Diving into workplace safety data, such as accident rates and Near Miss incidents. Leveraging your knowledge of regulations and Amazon procedures that you will learn to conduct audits and advise employees and their supervisors on safe working practices. Becoming an expert in your specific area of expertise over time while being careful not to share sensitive information outside your competencies and/or scope. Continuously monitoring the work environment with a strong focus on compliance with safety requirements according to Amazon's safety procedures. Assisting in investigating incidents and near misses to determine root causes. Developing action plans to ensure ongoing compliance with regulations. Always behaving professionally while maintaining confidentiality of information during incident investigations. Ensuring flexibility in scheduling to complete incident investigations, availability to work shifts including weekends. Supporting the warehouse through the use of specific tools and IT platforms. Providing continuous training on health and safety topics. A day in the life: Verify information from the previous shift. Implement daily, weekly, or monthly routines. Conduct audits in the warehouse across all operational areas. Engage daily with Operations to verify the implementation of safety procedures. Supervise and verify the safety management system. About the team: The team you would join consists of 7 members led by a Manager (RSPP) with the support of a Specialist (ASPP Specialized) and 5 Technicians rotating shifts. The team is very cohesive and helps each other with various tasks, holding team meetings between shifts and weekly. We work together with the single objective of ensuring the highest standards of health and safety for our employees. We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations: Agognate, NO, ITA BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Possess ASPP qualification. Degree in Safety, Engineering, or other specific fields as a minimum and between 6 months – 1 year of work experience in the Safety sector (including internship experience). As an alternative to technical requirements, a high school diploma and a minimum of 2 years of experience in the role of ASPP/RSPP in production/warehouse environments can be considered. Demonstrate understanding of relevant and essential safety regulations. Possess meticulous attention to detail. Ability to work independently and under minimal supervision. Ability to work towards goals and deadlines. Good verbal and written communication skills. Minimum level of English A2. Proactive and capable of using the office package and other infrastructural platforms. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Qualification/experience in Lean, 5S, and Kaizen. Demonstration of the ability to learn quickly while working with new processes and procedures. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Flexibility and adaptability, working shifts and being able to meet business needs. Teamwork and contribution to a positive and stimulating environment. Enthusiasm and self-motivation every day.
