About the Role The vacant position is within the DFES State Resilience and Recovery Portfolio which is responsible for programs that assist communities recover from disasters and build their preparedness and resilience to cope with future disasters.
Our busy Strategy and Policy team needs an administration superstar to help us get things done and keep us organised.
This role will suit you if you are independent and organised but able to cope with change and work well with a team.
The Administration Officer is a varied role that changes with the projects and needs of the team.
Key responsibilities include: Support for the delivery of training programs and workshops with registrations, bookings, catering and other logistical support. Meeting support including organising bookings and taking minutes. Project assistance to the team, including research, reporting and document management. Document and implement administrative processes for the team. Order/organise equipment and supplies. Employment Conditions and Additional Information DFES is an emergency services organisation and all employees may be required to work or travel outside of normal business hours to assist with emergencies.

National Police Certificate A condition of employment for new employees of DFES is that a current National Police Certificate (less than 3 months old) is provided prior to commencement.
Choice of Super The Fire and Emergency Services (Superannuation Fund) Regulations 1986, prevents DFES from offering choice of super for permanent appointments.
Those appointed permanently, only have the following two options:
Remain with their existing GESB Superannuation account; orJoin the Fire and Emergency Services Superannuation Fund. Those appointed on a fixed term contract do have choice of super, however if converted to permanent, employees will need to choose one of the two options listed above.
