Offer DescriptionThe project aims to evaluate the clinical reliability of emerging radiological investigations, both in terms of reducing exposure to ionizing radiation (low-dose CT, Lung MRI) and in terms of the analysis of radiological images using automated software.

Patients with immune system disorders may experience pulmonary complications as early as young adulthood, leading to a reduced quality of life, lower survival rates, and the need for long-term follow-up.

In this context, CT, the current gold standard for radiological assessment of pulmonary diseases, exposes patients to ionizing radiation with associated biological risks.

The validation of techniques with lower biological impact, as well as image analysis through automated software characterized by greater reproducibility and faster evaluation times compared to human readers, could provide benefits to patients by reducing biological risks and providing useful data for clinical management.
