PRIMARY FUNCTION: Within the Advanced Procurement Solutions team, we are looking for a Specialist who will be responsible to guarantee coherence between decisions and activities of BU Product Platforms and Procurement, aiming to seek for joint strategies in the suppliers' selection process and protect the product development phase.
He/She will represent Procurement within BU Platform organization, dealing with both tactical and strategical activities on current products.
Responsible of direct material cost impacting the whole product cost.
MAIN ACTIVITIES: Procurement team representative within Platform core team from acquisition phase until SOPInitiate/support preliminary RFIs in advance to official RFQs for critical/strategic components, according to Group Procurement strategyVerify consistency market prices versus expected target costs for new products and new technical solutionsActivate sourcing process keeping into account economics and timing: collect both technical documentation and economic/timing target, support supplier bid list definition and monitor and track the sourcing timing plan to guarantee the alignment to the program milestonesResponsible of releasing and managing sourcing roll out plans according to project milestones and procurement of prototype and start-up components whenever neededRelease spot orders (OC) to support proto building and production and R&D codesign costOfficially kick off Suppliers through PD LettersMonitor and track development / industrialization activities of selected suppliers, including Development Agreement definition and negotiation if neededChange management with awarded suppliers during development phase until PPAP release and during the whole lifecycle (current production)Put in place and lead recovery actions in case of procurement issues with suppliers during the development processSupport all BU functions to achieve agreement with Suppliers on claimsDocument collection and direct involvement on IATF/iso 9001 Audits.
