Advanced Technology Surgical Product Manager
Position Purpose
Development, implementation and accountability for operational and strategical plans that optimize profitability, market share and revenue growth for a brands in the short and long term.
Major Accountabilities
- Manage the assigned products in the Alcon surgical Franchise reporting to Marketing Manager
- Proactive development of marketing and promotional mix to meet brand objectives and customer needs
- Monitor business performance and external environment via appropriate tools to deliver corrective action as required to meet business objectives
- Liaison with external agencies to deliver initiatives for our products
- Accurate management of budgets for brand
- Create and deliver operational plans appropriate to life cycle of product to optimize return for Alcon
- Delivery of sales targets
- Full accountability for product and delivery of all programs related to it.
- Understanding and use of marketing principles to deliver to customer needs
- Disease and market understanding to develop customer insights through appropriate techniques/tools
- Support, Build and Collaborate with the team to achieve team goals
- Management of external agencies to meet team goals
- Act as product champion to create enthusiasm and focus internally and with external customers and agencies
- Participation in the budget-drafting process and definition
- Preparation of marketing/product plans
- Joint participation in the preparation of price lists and business assignment proposals
- Technical knowledge of the product
- Training and coaching of the Sales Force
- Joint participation in the preparation of the bonus plan
- Market knowledge and assessment and sales trends analysis
- Promotional activities (Sales assets, product presentations, courses, congresses and live surgeries, samples and instrument demos)
- Stock control and back orders management
- Technical information for internal and external customers.
- Continuous and constructive interaction with IMG group
- Reporting of customer complaints and adverse events to Local Vigilance
- Representative/Department, according to applicable work instructions
Key Performance Indicators
Sales results, market share performance, positive ROI of the marketing initiatives
Brand equity among surgeons and non-clinical stakeholders
Education
- University degree qualification or equivalent in Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, Economics and Marketing or equivalent fields
Experience
2-3 years of experience in Marketing, Sales or related in Medical Devices companies
Languages & IT
Fluent in English and Italian
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
