Job Summary Gateway Community and Technical College invites applications for the Federal Work Study (Student Only) part-time position of Advising Ambassador.

This position will support the Advising Center with office-related tasks.

The Federal Work Study program provides funding for part-time employment to qualifying students.

If you have unmet financial need as determined by the most recent FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), are enrolled at least half-time (6 hours) at Gateway and have a GPA of at least 2. 0, you may be eligible for FWS.

Job Duties: Incoming and Outbound phone calls to students to schedule advising appointments

Respond to general advising email requests

Create or update documents to support academic advising efforts

Assist with events and special projects

Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications: Excellent communication skills and good time management.

Dependable, able to maintain an agreed-upon schedule, professional, courteous

Able to work well with supervisor and others.

Familiar with MS Office

1st Shift

Up to 20 hours per week
