NoOffer DescriptionThe research fellow will support the Turin Unit in the PRIN 2022 project 'Ecology and Christianity in Late Antiquity (between fourth and sixth century AD) - EchLA' dedicated to the study of ecological and environmental awareness in patristic and late antique literature.

The fellow will study the possibility of an ante litteram ecological awareness, the signs of a new relation between modes and forms of production in late antique Italian and Western farms and their reflection in contemporary agronomic literature (e. g. , Palladius' Opus agriculturae, Geoponica), included therein the scholia dedicated to Virgil's poetic production (Servius' commentary on the Georgics in particular), and fifth and sixth centuries legislation (Theodosian and Justinian Codes).
