Air Freight Sales Manager
Main Responsibilities:
- Identify and acquire new clients, targeting untapped markets to drive business growth.
- Coordinate and manage all aspects of shipments, including booking, documentation, and customs clearance.
- Organize and optimize transportation services (e. g. , trucking, shipping, air freight) to meet specific shipment needs.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and customs requirements, handling all necessary documentation.
- Track shipments to ensure timely delivery and proactively resolve any issues or delays.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Develop and implement a sales plan, set goals, and oversee the sales team's performance.
- Collaborate with marketing on lead generation and assist in creating effective pricing and marketing strategies.
- Provide leadership to the team, fostering a positive work environment and setting an example of strong ethics and conduct.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with customs and government regulations, ensuring proper record-keeping.
- A degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in sales within the shipping/transport/logistics sector.
- Excellent command of the English language, both spoken and written.
- Strong commercial skills and entrepreneurial spirit.
- Availability to travel both within Italy and abroad.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work dynamically, even in high-pressure situations.
