Amazon: Program Manager, Tom
EU ATS TOM (Transportation Operations Management) team is looking for a Program Manager with strong ownership and analytical skills and ability to deliver safety projects for EU FCs/SCs. About the roleTOM team focuses on managing the yard activities in the Fulfillment centers and Sort centers across EU.
This team is the interface between Amazon sites and the Supply Chain/Trans organizations.
You will be responsible for developing and managing new initiatives/projects for TOM team.
To be successful in this role, you need strong business acumen and analytical skills allowing the data to lead us to a better understanding of how we can improve the yard processes.
Also key is the ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams and effectively communicate to various levels of management internal and external to Amazon. Key job responsibilitiesManaging Yard infrastructure projects and relationship between the TOM Operational team and the Partners to ensure delivery of objectivesSupporting business change through effective change management processes within the fast-paced environmentContinuous Improvement Management with partners, as well as development of SOPs, ensuring Amazon's requirements, guidelines and policiesare communicated and executed by partnersEngage with internal and external business teams and stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve operational performance and process complianceWork closely with the Operations Managers and sites' support staff (HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT and Sr.
Operations Managers) to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives in their areas. Basic qualifications
- Basic Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's Degree or similar education in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a similar related discipline
- Intermediate skills in Excel
- Past experience collaborating and effectively communicating (written & verbal) with senior management, technology teams, and international stakeholders.
Working knowledge of EnglishPreferred qualification - Lean, 5S and Kaizen experience
- Be experienced in managing regulatory compliance in the transportation environment
- Masters in Logistics, Transportation or related field
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment
