The AML SAR Analyst must develop a clear understanding of the local business practices and strategy, acting within the scope of the Italian AML Framework and the ING Group FEC Policy.

The AML SAR Analyst will be responsible for analyzing the internal suspicious activity reports from the different channels of the Bank or of which they have become aware in the context of their work activities.

The AML SAR Analyst is the individual within the second-line controls organization who actively collaborates in maintaining an effective and responsive anti-money laundering governance framework on an independent basis from business and operational areas (and without hierarchical subordination to the head or manager of such areas).

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Investigate and assess alerts for potential money laundering risks in the Bank;

- Ensure efficient identification and monitoring of suspicious activities and transactions;

- Ensure timely, efficient reporting of suspicious transactions to the Head of Customer Activity Monitoring;

- Perform the assigned monitoring activities in a timely manner;

- Maintain a current understanding of money laundering and terrorist financing issues, including policies, procedures, regulations, industry best practice, criminal typologies and developing trends;

- Assist in identifying systemic procedural weaknesses and additional training requirements for the Bank;

- Timely execution of instructions received the Head of Customer Activity Monitoring;

- Ensure proper investigation of suspicious transactions or money laundering alerts.

**Educational Qualifications**:

University degree in Economics/Law

**Technical, Language and other Specialized skills**:

- Good knowledge of the English language (B2 or above)

- Good knowledge of Office tools, knowledge of BI tools preferred

- Analytical skills and experience in monitoring activities

- Teamwork and collaboration skills

**Work Experience**:

3+ years of experience in financial crime and money laundering in financial institutions; knowledge of fraud trends
