Position Summary Information Job Description Summary: The Annual Fund Intern will support the University Advancement's Annual Giving team, with a primary focus on 1842 Day, Villanova's annual day of giving.
This role will assist with student engagement strategies, outreach efforts, and event preparation to increase awareness and participation.
The intern will also contribute to broader student philanthropy initiatives, including the Senior Class Gift program.
Duties and Responsibilities 1842 Day Strategy & Preparation: Assist in developing engagement strategies and organizing interactive experiences, giveaways, and incentives to educate students on the impact of philanthropy at Villanova to encourage participation in 1842 Day.
Coordinate on-campus outreach efforts, including tabling and pop-up events leading up to 1842 Day.
Research successful student engagement strategies from other universities and suggest innovative approaches.
Collaborate with student groups and campus partners to promote 1842 Day participation, including the Student Giving Power Hour.
Work closely with the Senior Class Gift Committee to drive senior participation in 1842 Day, ensuring alignment with their fundraising efforts.
Social Media & Content Creation: Develop and curate social media content related to 1842 Day and student philanthropy, including countdowns, challenges, and engagement campaigns.
Assist with video editing and photography for social media in collaboration with the digital and communication teams.
Create visually appealing content using Canva and other design tools.
Collect student testimonials and impact stories to showcase donor support.
Analyze engagement metrics from previous years and provide insights to refine strategies.
Annual Giving Initiatives: Compile data from research and/or benchmarking conversations for proposals as needed.
Support general Annual Giving projects and initiatives as needed.
Requirements Bachelor's degree completed or in progress (preferred).
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with event planning, social media, and marketing (preferred).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office/365 and Canva.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Interest in fundraising, philanthropy, and student engagement.
Additional Information Wage Rate: $11. 25 per hour
