WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR**:

**WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON**:

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Successfully lead complex projects from conceptual start to final design delivery with passion and ownership

- Ideate on identified product opportunities and strategies through R&D, sketching and physical prototyping

- Translate macro ideas into storytelling that delivers relevant commercial concepts that can impact the bottom line and inspire customers

- Collaborate with key brand customers to bring their ideas to life through consultation, prototyping, education and hands on working sessions

- Use of empathy and non-linear thinking: we would like for you to be able to see the consumer as a person and ideate solutions with the consumer in mind

- Refine Brand Customer concept direction and complete design hand-offs following 'Brand' specification standards

**Experience**:

- Bachelor's degree in design or related field; fashion design, product design, industrial design, têxtile design or sportswear design required or 4+ years of additional professional design experience In lieu of a degree.

- 4+ years of relevant apparel or product design experience.

- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications

- Working knowledge and understanding of apparel construction

- Basic knowledge of the apparel industry, marketing principles and development process

- Experience working and communicating directly with manufacturing partners to ensure accuracy of design intent

- Experience and comfort providing educational training to teams or presenting in a formal business setting

- Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Italian

**Bemis has created Collaborative (Co-Lab) spaces around the world that are used as hubs for education and inspiration of our extensive product portfolio.

When a brand or factory partner come to visit our lab, we strive to offer them a full experience to better understand how to select, implement, and use our products in their finished goods.

Bonding is still not standardly trained in university education for apparel and fashion design.

Therefore, as the leader in bonded solutions, it is important that Bemis take the ownership to educate the industry on best practices for how to use the different construction adhesives, seam tapes, and embellishment films.

Our labs, along with our teams in these labs, are equipped to showcase the range of our products and how to build with them on state-of-the-art machinery so they can have a better understanding of the process when it comes to production.
