We are looking for a motivated and talented Application Engineer to join our team in either our Pisa or Legnano office. In this role, you will prepare Technical and Commercial Proposals (Budget, Firm) to Clients that are compliant with technical requirements of the application. You will also coordinate with Procurement to properly address the tendering Strategy, support Sales to book profitable orders and provide Technical expertise to Project execution. Main responsibilities: Perform preliminary process design calculations and prepare the basic design package which complies technically with the process specifications of the inquiry; Ensure to issue professionally written technical proposals that properly address the technical requirements of the application; Perform cost estimate of the equipment quoted and ensure it is consistent with the scope of supply. Keep update the accuracy of costing database; Participate in technical negotiations and meetings with customers; Inspire trust and create a relationship with customers; Source, with help of Procurement, Vendors, ensuring that technical terms and scope of supply are in full compliance with the project specification; Communicate with clients to clarify their technical requirements and scope of supply; Prepare hand-over package to hand-over the awarded PO to project execution; Participate to project Kick-off meetings with customer as needed; Incorporate customer specifications and requirements into the design of the equipment as required. Perform detail process design engineering of the project: mass and heat balances, final P&ID, pressure drop calculations, lines and control valves sizing, etc. ; Participate to HAZOP meetings as needed; Support at commissioning, start-ups/field trips and trouble-shooting on as needed basis; Develop understanding of the environmental regulations and other factors that drive the market; Develop knowledge of competitors' strengths, weaknesses, products, services, and pricing. Titles, Prerequisites and Expertise: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental) Proficient in English language Good command of main software packages (MS Office) Good knowledge and familiarity with Drafting and process engineering tools Establish/maintain relationship with peers and leaders Communicate effectively and positively.
