Offer DescriptionThe research conducted within the SIMBA project (Innovative Systems for Monitoring Animal Welfare) aims to analyze the behavior of dairy cows to monitor their welfare and assess its impact on productivity.

As part of Precision Livestock Farming, advanced technologies such as computer vision will be used to collect behavioral data through cameras and collar-mounted sensors.

These data, integrated with production metrics from milking robots, will provide a comprehensive view of animal health, welfare, and productivity.

This approach will enable the identification of relationships between behaviors, productive parameters, and health, optimizing the management of adult cows and calves.

The results will support the planning of targeted interventions to improve animal living conditions and the operational efficiency of farms.
