Application Specialist Digital Pathology
Field based position responsible for sales support activities, including performing instrument demos and installations, customer training, and after sales technical product support, for the Digital Pathology portfolio of Epredia.
The ability to manage installations, training, and administrative responsibilities (such as, but not limited to, request the authorization for performing a demo, organize the shipment of products within the Italian territory) with mínimal supervision is required.
Self-motivation, time management and planning are essential requirements.
Traveling throughout the Italian territory is required;
International travels and activities (such as, but not limited to, attend training sessions or commercial meeting) are required.
Connect with the Marketing and other technical functions of Epredia when needed or required, to prepare quotations and tender documentation, deliver the best possible support to Italian customers, for troubleshooting and problem solving, as well as for other corporate projects where technical expertise is required.
Additional responsibilities include utilize the customer relationship management software and tools, written documentation of installation and training activities, effective interaction and communication with the EMEA and Global Technical Support and Commercial teams.
Main responsibilities of the Sales Application Specialist will be:
Work closely with the Epredia sales team and sales manager to develop specific area or key accounts growth strategy.
Manage customer demonstrations of products, both instruments and software, and customer site visits as required in supporting the customers and the sales team.
Manage tender processes and private deals as well throughout entire territory.
Managing installations and deliver products training to end users.
Support the sales team to successfully positioning Epredia solutions to address performance, workflow and customer's budget requirements.
Responsible for opening and managing customers' complaints.
Support the commercial team in preparing tenders and quotations to customers, providing technical advices and commercial expertise to maximize the deals win ratio.
Provide technical support and training to the sales team as well as provide training programs to customers.
Actively support, organize and take part in users meetings, workshops and exhibitions.
Strong presentation skills for both technical and sales related materials.
Exhibits a high degree of flexibility in adapting to a rapidly changing environment.
Ability to work in team, and influence/motivate others.
**Minimum Qualifications**:
Master's Degree in Laboratory Medicine, Biology, Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineer, or related field.
Knowledge of the IT-related aspects of the Diagnostics Laboratory area, such as connection of instruments to LIS and local network.
Being able to engage with all stakeholders and decision makers in the sales cycle, like Pathologists, IT expert, Biomedical Engineers, Finance and Administration personnel.
Strong self-organizational and communication skills.
Good interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
Excellent English written and oral communication skills.
Valid driving license
