Detailed Primary Responsibilities**:

- Use expert knowledge and understanding of product lines to translate customer needs into product selection

- Develop new or modified test methods to attract new customers or break into new markets

- Assist Engineering in the analysis of customer product failures, the generation of the related failure reports and communication of failure analysis and recommendations to the customer

**Education & Experience**:

- Bachelor's degree required in Polymer Science, Polymer Engineering, Materials Science, or Chemical Engineering - master's degree or PhD highly preferred

- Must be fluent in English.

Fluency in German, French or Italian is preferred.

- Strong knowledge of polymer rheology is required

- Demonstrated success in managing multiple complex projects, concurrently

- Demonstrated success in designing, analyzing, and presenting experimental results

- Strong structured problem-solving experience

- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, and papers

- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences both internally and externally through written reports, lectures, and technical presentations

- Familiarity with rheometers and rubber testing equipment is a plus

**Other**:

- Must be located within 1 hour to a major European airport, preferably near Bologna or Heilbronn, Germany or Milan, Italy.

- Travel required up to 40% domestic and international - must have and maintain a valid passport

- Participation in video and teleconferences that may occur earlier or later than normal working hours
