Area Sales Representative
Lombardia, Piemonte and Valle d'Aosta regions
Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for sales of all Masimo products in assigned territoryPlan and execute strategies to convert accounts (single departments and/or the whole hospital) to the use of Masimo products in an high-competitive marketEngage in selling of accounts, including qualification, demonstration and closure of competitive and exclusive products, positioning Masimo's technology as the new standard of care in pulse-oximetry and other noninvasive blood parameters' monitoring systems. Ability to make product demonstrations and negotiations both with physicians and hospital administrators (bio-medical engineers, purchasing managers, etc.
)Partner with appropriate Distributors and OEM sales personnel in planning and executing sales strategies to convert accountsProvide information to upper management including market trends, competitive activity, product design needs, regulatory, and production requirementsParticipate to hospital bid tendersMaintain thorough product knowledge including ability to demonstrate products, position products vs.competitive products and inservice end-usersProvide regular sales forecasts to upper managementManage expense budget for all required activitiesRequirements: Bachelor's Degree or similar level of educationIdeally based in Milan areaProven track record of selling both disposable products and capital equipment to hospitals and the ability to communicate value based solutionsFive or more years of Medical Device Sales experience. Patient Monitoring systems highly advantageousDirect selling experience in high-competitive marketsExperience calling on physicians and hospital administrators (bio-medical engineers, purchasing managers)Ideally an experience working with Distributors and OEM sales personnelDemonstrated conceptual, analytical, problem-solving and organizational skillsResults oriented with a positive "can do" attitude and a sense of urgency to get things doneComfortable in high visibility situations and exhibits strong self-confidenceSuperior written and verbal communication skills with an exceptional ability to lead group presentationsDemonstrated self-starter; a "hands-on" individual who enjoys challenge and is dedicated to getting the job done with minimal support and direction. Accustomed to a heavy travel scheduleNative Italian and fluid level of English. Comfortable in high visibility situations and exhibits strong self-confidence. Must be PC literate, have excellent organizational, communication, writing, and project management skills.
