A design degree or equivalent professional experience within an agency environment or advertising marketer.
Team player with the ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
Self-starter who is customer-obsessed, detail-oriented, and driven.
An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating strong design skills (UI, UX), motion/animation, and experience in creating great advertising solutions is a must.
Excellent working knowledge of Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, and the full Adobe Creative Suite.
Job Summary: The Amazon Ads Brand Innovation Lab team is looking for a talented and passionate Art Director to create first-class customer experiences both on and offline within the team dedicated to creating advertising solutions for Financial Services & Telco brands.
Our team is focused on helping advertisers promote their brands in new ways on Amazon through creative and innovative solutions.
In response to advertiser and end-customer needs, from inception through launch, you will be a design owner responsible for delivering ambitious data-driven concepts that translate needs and constraints into simple, intuitive, customer-focused solutions.
You will be equally strong at concept and execution, articulating end-to-end experiences, and turning that vision into high-quality experiences.
This could include user interface designs for voice and screen, interaction models, prototypes, and interactive advertising campaigns.
You balance your passion for inspired, compelling, elegant, and intuitive designs with a highly analytical nature, precise execution, and a drive to design, build, and deliver.
As part of this team, you will work under the guidance of a Creative Director and collaborate closely with other creatives (including art directors, copywriters, and visual designers), design technologists, and solution managers.
Additionally, you will be responsible for communicating with both internal partners (including Sales, product, and engineering teams) and external stakeholders to deliver innovative results through all stages from concept development to final execution.

Think strategically.
Dive deep on the target audience (considering a brand's target audience as well as Amazon shopper behavior) to find meaningful insights to inform creative strategy and approach to solutions.
Collaborate across multiple teams to drive executions of all types (video, digital, voice integration, AR, VR, etc. ).
Work with solution managers to ensure timelines, resources, and budget allocations meet project scope.
Deliver multi-channel brand solutions of the highest standard that balance advertiser goals (KPIs) with customer goals (frictionless commerce).
Take ownership of the business: Understand the Amazon Advertising platform and how to sell it, work within the existing framework as well as push new functionalities and adapt with the business as it evolves over time.
Review market developments and industry trends and identify potential opportunities for Amazon Advertising.
Create ideas and executions that can become scalable executions (and revenue streams) in the future.
Take ownership of client and agency relationships: Build strategic business partnerships with your clients, inspiring and exciting them about our creative work and our delivery on their brand promise.
Use your understanding to create a clear vision for creative solutions and ensure this vision is clearly communicated and understood with both clients, planning, and the account team.
Articulate and defend strategic thinking and creative direction to internal and external stakeholders.
A Day in the Life: The Art Director will work in close partnership with the Creative team, Solution Managers, and Design Technologists.
You will produce innovative concepts for customer-centric advertising experiences spanning within and even beyond Amazon channels.
You will work on designs ranging from campaign traffic drivers and landing pages (small scale) to world-wide brand deliverables (large scale in partnership with Art Directors), all with the same attention to excellence.
About the Team: We are a global team of Creatives, Solution Managers, Design Technologists, and Campaign Managers, and our goal is to produce the most customer-centric advertising - from the smallest campaigns to the biggest custom executions.
We are the tip of the spear, helping advertisers understand first that they can engage with Amazon to promote their brands (awareness), then how they can express creativity and innovation, and finally executing on those unique campaigns with a focus on the customer benefit and to drive awareness and performance.
