POSITION OVERVIEW The Assistant Coordinator / Penetration Tester plays a dual role that combines project coordination and technical security testing. This position supports senior security engineers, project managers, and various stakeholders by ensuring penetration testing and red team engagements are planned, executed, and reported on effectively. The role requires strong organizational skills to handle scheduling and resource allocation, along with technical expertise to perform vulnerability assessments, penetration testing and technical consultancies.

RESPONSABILITIES Work with senior security leads and project managers to schedule penetration testing and red team engagements, ensuring all milestones and deliverables are clearly defined;Communicate with the internal team and clients to understand testing scope, goals, and technical requirements;Lead and conduct comprehensive penetration tests on a variety of systems, networks, web applications, mobile applications, and other digital assets;Identify, assess, and exploit security vulnerabilities and weaknesses in clients' environments while maintaining strict adherence to ethical standards;Provide expert-level guidance on security best practices and risk mitigation strategies to clients' technical and non-technical teams;Collaborate with clients to understand their unique security requirements and tailor penetration testing approaches to meet their specific needs;Develop detailed and actionable penetration testing reports that highlight vulnerabilities, potential risks, and recommended remediation steps;Mentor and guide other penetration testers, providing guidance and expertise to elevate their skills and knowledge;Stay up-to-date with the latest hacking techniques, security trends, and emerging threats to continuously improve the quality of penetration testing services;Contribute to the development of new tools, methodologies, and processes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of penetration testing efforts. QUALIFICATIONS Resident in Italy;Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience);At least 3 years of hands-on experience in penetration testing and vulnerability assessment, with a proven track record of successfully identifying and exploiting security vulnerabilities;Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems, web technologies, and application security concepts;Proficiency in using various penetration testing tools, frameworks, and methodologies;Familiarity with compliance frameworks and regulations such as PCI DSS, HIPAA, NIST, etc;Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think creatively and adapt to new challenges;Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders;Leadership experience and the ability to mentor junior team members;Proficiency Italian and English is required, with the ability to effectively communicate and conduct business in a professional setting in both languages.
