Job Description
This is a key support role to the Financial Controller for providing accurate and timely information on the financial performance of the business and support the decision-making process. Reporting to the Finance Controller in this role you will support the management of day-to-day finance matters, the production of the monthly management accounts, ensure all balance sheet reconciliations are completed and that all reconciling items are investigated and resolved promptly, and perform variance analysis to evaluate company performance and provide commentary to explain key variances to budget/forecast.
In this role you will assist with the year-end close process, the preparation and collation of information for the year-end external audit, the preparation of the annual statutory accounts for the company, and the preparation and submission of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts.
This role would suit a determined problem-solver, who can think logically, able to work under pressure and tight deadlines with a high attention to detail. A team player with the ability to carry out tasks autonomously and collaboratively.
Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent professional finance qualificationsProven experience with gathering, analyzing data and providing guidance to the businessStrong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP's, power query)Experience of working in manufacturing or a similar industry sector would be highly beneficialFluent EnglishThe Successful Candidate: Clear and effective communication, both internally and externallyBe a strong problem solver with a high level of integrityFlexible and willing to assist in other areas of FinanceA good team player
