The KPMG team is multinational aiming to strengthen its position in the EMA Region (Europe Africa, Middle East) and working on a daily basis with all KPMG's practices in the EMA Region and globally.
The profile's main goals include, inter alia, in the public sector domain:
- Business development and project acquisition with all the International Institutions (mainly EU, but also WB, UN, USAID, MDB, )
- Coordination of KPMG's teams working on international projects
- Support in the management and delivery of international projects under implementation
- Manage the international pipeline of opportunities for the KPMG Network
- Support in research and communication of key international initiatives and monitoring of regulatory issues
**KPMG practice in Italy is currently looking for a Public Sector specialized consultant as a Manager/Assistant Manager to join the fast-growing team.
He/she will be integrated within the Government and International (G&I) practice in Italy (and connected with all the EMA Kpmg practices as well as with KPMG global team) and will report to the KPMG Lead Partner managing the International Public Sector in Italy.
He/she will:
- Play a lead role in Business Development on Public Sector related opportunities in the areas of structural reforms, digital transformation and operational transformation:
- Monitor international public developments and anticipate related rising needs
- Map financing patterns of international programmes in those sectors
- Monitor the trends and identify opportunities for consultancy services in this area:
- Monitor major developments and policy trends
- Monitor future opportunities and develop specific international public sector market alliances
- Mobilise and coordinate KPMG's capacities to respond to key calls for tenders
- Coordinate and draft parts of international bids on the technical and financial offers
- Plan and oversee all activities related to the successful management of consultancy assignments including management of liaisons with the EMA clients in presentation and project activities to manage expectations, deliver quality and ensure that teams are fully on track.
- Interact with stakeholders on international opportunities including partners and experts.
- Directly supervise a team; provide on-the-job coaching working in international teams.
**Reporting to**:
- KPMG Lead Partner for the International Public Sector market in Kpmg Advisory - Italy.
**Expected qualifications**:
- You hold a University Graduate Degree in Economics, Engineering, ICT or related.
Additional qualifications related to EU or International studies will be considered an asset
- You have from 5 to 8 years of experience working as a Project manager/Business developer ideally on International projects
- You are familiar with international institutions having worked either for them or for an international consultancy firm
- You have previous exposure to and experience with international public policy and topics such as: reforms, operational redesign, digital transformation, performance assessment (quality and costs), etc.
- You are able to successfully manage a team of 10-15 persons
- You are at ease with a multicultural, multinational and culturally diverse environment.
You are a positive and confident person with good interpersonal skills
- You are able to work in full autonomy without direct supervision and establish procedures for your team
- You have an excellent spoken and written knowledge of English and Italian - ideally some French as well.
Knowledge of another EU language is most welcome
- You are an excellent communicator, have very good communication skills and are able to communicate easily with all different stakeholders
- You are ready to adapt to a fast changing work environment.
