The tenure track will run for up to six years and there is the possibility of promotion to a tenured position by the end of that period or before. The position is open to candidates working in all fields of Economics.

Candidates with a record of excellent and internationally visible research are encouraged to apply.

Teaching involves courses in the department's B. Sc. , M. Sc. , and PhD programmes (taught in English).

The Marco Fanno Fellowship, generously offered by the Unicredit Foundation, supplements the stipend for this position. The fellowship lasts for three years with a total amount of €60, 000, gross of taxes. The Foundation will pay the fellowship directly to the Assistant Professor in equal annual installments on top of his/her salary.

The current Italian tax law provides special fiscal treatment for individuals relocating from abroad. It offers a near-total exemption from personal income tax for an extended period, ranging from 7 to 13 years, depending on personal circumstances.
