Position Opening: Assistant Programs Coordinator, Accent Rome Study Center
Accent International Consortium for Academic Programs Abroad is an independent study abroad programs provider with more than 25 years of experience working with over 50 American colleges and universities to provide high quality study abroad programs.
Accent works with schools to develop unique overseas study experiences in Paris, Florence, London, Madrid, Syracuse and Rome.
This position is in the Accent Rome Study Center.
**General Description**:
The Accent Rome Center Assistant Programs Coordinator will serve as a member of a small team which manages all aspects of various US university programs (short term and long term) in the Accent Rome Study Center.
The Assistant Programs Coordinator role includes diverse duties including student services, administration, cultural activities planning, academic support and emergency support.
**Requirements**:
- Italian or EU Citizenship or legal right to work in Italy
- **Bilingual English and Italian
- **Must reside in Rome
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- Laurea Triennale and 1 to 2 years of relevant experience working in a Travel Agency office or University environment
- Working in an international environment, a Travel agency and/or working with US university programs strongly desired
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written in Italian and **English
- Flexibility and willingness to take on a variety of tasks as part of a fast-paced small team environment
- Strong interpersonal and intercultural skills and US-style customer service orientation in working with a diverse student and faculty population
- Organised, efficient and detail-oriented individual with capacity for multi-tasking and decision-making
- Local knowledge of Rome, knowledge of Italian culture and history.
**Responsibilities**:
- Support to the coordination of US University study abroad programs in Rome including scheduling, bookings and reservations for student groups
- Serve as local point person for US faculty and students throughout the program ensuring quality
- Student services as part of the Front Desk team, advising students on academic, housing, cultural issues and on accessing medical and mental health resources
- Accompany students on excursions, day trips, cultural events and site visits in Rome
- Financial record-keeping and payment processing for all program expenditures in collaboration with Administrative Coordinator
- Student emergency support pursuant to ACCENT health and safety protocols, and serve on the staff on-call rotation for student emergencies
- Other administrative tasks as needed
- Evening and weekend work required
