Assistant Sports And Fitness Director (Cys) Nf-03
Duties**:
- Assists in the coordination and oversight of child and youth team sports, individual sports, age-appropriate fitness and health initiatives, skill-building clinics, and community outreach; Assists in managing an active program of volunteer coaches
- Assist in the planning, implementation, and supervision of program that promotes positive growth and development of children and youth.
Assists with program oversight and accountability for the performance of staff and safety of program participants
- Ensures programs follow the National Standards for Youth Sports (NAYS).
Trains and monitors coaches in accordance with National Youth Sports Coaches Association (NYSCA) guidelines
- Performs outreach functions through partnerships with both on and off-post organizations or schools to ensure comprehensive, coordinated community programs and to expand and enhance sports/fitness opportunities for youth.
- Performs a full range of supervisory functions to assigned staff and assists in recruitment and selection actions.
Prepares reports, surveys, and briefings for the command and installation on matters pertaining to CYS.

- Must possess and maintain the physical ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs, walk, bend, stoop, and stand on a routine basis.
- Must obtain/maintain certification in CPR/First Aid.
- In consideration of COVID-19, personnel within this area routinely wear personal protective equipment (cloth face coverings, latex gloves, and face shields) while performing their regular duties.
**Qualifications**:
A bachelor's degree or higher which included a major course of study or at least 24 semester hours in physical education,
**OR all **of the following equivalent in scope and complexity to the next lower grade level:
1.
Experience in the planning, supervision, administration, or delivery of a sports or physical education program which included a variety of individual and team sports.
2.
Experience in providing skills development and teaching the techniques of various sports.
3.
Experience coaching multiple sports or providing coaches with sports-specific training in coaching techniques and required skills/fundamentals.
**Qualifying experience must be clearly described in resume.
Failure to clearly describe qualifying experience in resume, may result in an ineligible rating or may affect the overall rating.
