Assistant Store Manager (M/F/D) - Full Time - Brand Center / Milan
PURPOSE & IMPACT ON ORGANIZATION:
The Brand Center Assistant Manager highly impacts our brand and consumer experience by supporting the Sr District Manager in managing a high-volume, strategically positioned store. The role represents the adidas brand and product in the most impactful way.
He/she supports in leading the Team within a designated area of the Brand Center Store to provide outstanding consumer experience while maintaining high operational and brand standards. The role supports in working in close collaboration with both the Market and Global teams to support the implementation of the strategic direction of the Brand Center concept in the Market and across the globe. Driving Brand ExperienceAmplifies the Brand with every decision and every actionEnsures event and VM execution at the highest standardsFuels the Brand passion within the teamSupports and embodies that we are the Brand with retail skillsDriving Store ProfitabilityMeeting or exceeding store sales and profit targetsSupporting the management of all resources within the designated area to provide consumers with a leading shopping experienceDriving the proper execution of established policies, procedures, initiatives and directivesKey AccountabilitiesDeliver exceptional consumer experience tailored to the Brand Center through ensuring outstanding execution of global brand and retail operational standardsFoster a positive culture in the store and supports in enabling the team to create a consumer centered, authentic, active culture in the storeUnderstand the concept and strategic importance of the Brand Center store and think broadly when supporting with the direction of the store team and creating brand advocacyProvide regular input to the Sr District Manager to allow for feedback to different departments and global teams to achieve the Brand Center ambitionSupport and coach associates within the designated area to drive sales and meet key performance indicatorsSupport Store Management Team to hire, develop and build high performing employeesFoster a collaborative working relationship with both the global and the Market Retail teamsProvide constructive feedback to the Sr District Manager and wider Retail team on success and feasibility of current and new programs, other initiatives, and specific store needsCommunicate and provide visibility on product needs/other operational needs and opportunities to the Sr District Manager for the designated areaAct as Brand ambassador and partner within local community to promote brand and store awarenessEnsure consistent implementation of all global programs, initiatives and strategies within the Brand Center storeSupport Sr District Manager with leveraging global and local tools to lead the performance management, succession, recruiting, hiring and development activities, resulting in high employee engagementPromote a high-performance culture in the Brand Center by supporting the clear expectations set, holding employees accountable, creating an effective and efficient work environment, and supporting goals that focus the team on key drivers that impact successSupport training and execution in store in all designated areas, including business, operations, sales/customer service, and visual merchandising, while also coordinating with Retail Store Trainer to ensure all employees are trained in Retail StandardsSupport the timely completion of all record keeping associated with applicants, new hires, payroll, performance appraisals, counselling, disciplinary actions and terminationsKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesStrong ability to understand and use financial data to make decisions and influence outcomesAbility to use critical thinking and creative ways to solve problemsAbility to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaintsAbility to make recommendations that effectively resolve problems by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, and proceduresStrong leadership, interpersonal and communication skillsStrong ability to collaborate and influence across different levels and departmentsComfortable with working in a matrix organisationThrives under ambiguity; open to change and act as advocate for the 'new'Open to feedback; able to keep composure in stressful situationsPassion for adidas brand and for sportProficient with MS applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other computer software (Internet, POS Systems, etc)QUALIFICATIONS: (Minimum required education and experience)Demonstrated business management skills; P&L and KPI ownership. 2 years of fashion retail management experience with a leading global brandLeadership role in a branded organization (leading teams & creating a brand experience)Minimum 2 years of relevant market experience with high street leaderEnglish fluent (speaking, reading, writing) and fluency in another language is highly desirableWE KINDLY ASK INTERESTED CANDIDATES TO APPLY USING A CV FULLY WRITTEN IN ENGLISH, THANK YOU!
