As Spacecraft Operator, you will be tasked with commanding and controlling D-Orbit's Fleet of Carriers and Reconnaissance and Servicing Vessels.
From D-Orbit's mission control centre, you will conduct end-to-end mission operations, from launch to final deorbiting.
Activities like satellite tasking, telemetry dump and post-processing, contingency and ground operations, failure detections and recovery, as well as operations planning and scheduling, and flight dynamics will be part of D-Orbit's Flight Operations team duties. We will also accept applications from people with less than 1-year of experience. Tasks and Responsibilities:Command and control the company's proprietary satellites and their payloadsOn-board anomaly identification and resolutionOrbital and attitude manoeuvres executionFlight Operations activities planning, scheduling and execution throughout the missionsInterface with Flight Operations Segment developers to define user stories and requirementsSupport to ground systems and integration with space segmentAuthoring of Technical documentsRequirements:Knowledge of System Engineering, Orbital and Attitude DynamicsKnowledge of Spaceflight OperationsKnowledge of Ground Segment conceptAvailability to work outside normal office working hoursExperience with scripting languages (Python)Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsProactive attitude and ability to work in team and individuallyKnowledge of spaceflight dynamics and manoeuvre planning is a strong plusFamiliarity with On-Board Control Procedures concepts is a plusKnowledge of code versioning tools (Git) is a plusKnowledge of flight dynamics tools (Orekit, GMAT, etc. )
