Main areas of activities:

- Scouting and analysis of new technologies (in particular related to sensoring, processing and actuation)

- Modeling, estimation and control of dynamic systems

- Supervised and unsupervised machine learning

- Reinforcement learning

- Control of industry 4. 0 plants and supervisors development

Required background and technical skills:

- Technical competencies:

proven working and practical knowledge of control systems, implementation and testing; working experience in machine-learning projects; good knowledge of embedded platforms and "limited size" software development; knowledge of the most common data interfaces (e. g.

CAN bus, real-time Ethernet protocols); good knowledge of real-time systems, sensors acquisition and actuators control; PLC and SCADA programming is a plus

- Tools:

very good knowledge of Matlab and Simulink, Python and embedded C programming; experience using Vector programs (e. g.

CANalyzer, CANdb++); good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)

Other skills and required characteristics:

- Education:

master degree orPhD in Automation Engineering or equivalent scientific or technical qualification

- Work experience:

3 to 6 years of work experience in similar position or with similar duties in R&D, control design and engineering companies

- Languages:

English (B2)

- Personal skills:

Ability to work in a team, team building and lead, strong attitude to collaborative problem solving, self-learning abilities, passion for mechanical engineering and willing to deep dive into the discipline, obsession for details

- Travel:

Available to business trips in Italy and abroad
