Automation Project Manager - Milan - 12-Month Contract This is your opportunity to work for a global data centre operator that has been recognised as one of the fastest growing and well-known groups in the industry. Having received significant investment, this established data centre group is in their next phase of growth and requires the expertise of a commissioning automation engineer. They have established partnerships with many of the well-known technology powerhouses and tailor their development to their client's requirements. Essential Job Functions & Duties Coordinate teams and manage contractors on site Report effectively into senior stakeholders Complete commissioning tasks on installed equipment, oversee vendors and report updates to management. On-site presence for automation work, installation, etc. Assist in establishing milestones for completion of various systems (MEP, IT, Construction) to allow sufficient time for pre-testing and testing for development and remediation projects Oversight on schedules and commissioning scripts for each general contractor and OFCI supplier leading up to a coordinated program for testing of main OFCI equipment (L1 to L5). Assist in the definition of demarcation scopes between OFCI suppliers, GCs, and commissioning agents Review for proper scope coordination among all trades and ensure that appropriate submittals are exchanged among trades where necessary Develop and maintain working relationships with all design teams, construction, integrators, operations, and commissioning agents Complete other responsibilities as assigned Coordinate integration support schedules, allowing for sufficient time to program, test, and commission mission-critical control systems Examine project documents, including Sequences of Operation, Bill of Materials, Process and Instrumentation Diagrams, and project schedules when developing automation logic and visualization applications Skills, Knowledge and Experience Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience Industrial automation system commissioning experience is required Data Center experience is strongly preferred, but not required Knowledge of OSHA laws Programme Management experience is preferred Knowledge of automation systems (control loops, field IO, etc. ) in a mission-critical environment Experience with industry-leading software platforms for SCADA systems is preferred, but not required If this role is of interest to you, please apply now J-18808-Ljbffr
