Tenaris is the leading manufacturer of pipes and related services for the world's energy industry.

Inside Tenaris and the Engineering Area, the Automation Department, formed by 130+ people, is organized in different teams around the world (Europe, North, Central and South America) and plays a crucial role.

In the last years Tenaris invested in pure automation projects 100+ M$ and the Automation department is committed to developing cutting-edge solutions to simplify, improve and boost our processes and products and give enhanced value to our customers.

Our teams are made up by automation experts and project managers to design, develop, and start-up state-of-the-art automation solutions that are efficient, reliable, integrated, and easy to use.

We deal with PLC software implementation, SCADA/HMI programming, Drives and motors definitions, Industrial network and control panel design, Electrical wiring and schematics, Robotic cells.

We closely interact with our production, maintenance, and quality colleagues to understand their needs, develop customized solutions, and provide technical support and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.

Project Management, setting priorities, and meeting project deadlines, analytical and problem-solving, communication, attention to detail, flexibility and adaptability, continuous learning, team working are typical soft skill we usually practice and develop during our career.

Tenaris is now planning to launch a new wide phase of industrial investments to enforce and enlarge its competitive position in the Oil & Gas pipe producer market.

Tenaris is also looking at "Industrial digitization" as a key to improve the insight of the company and create new opportunities for a data-driven decision-making process and strategies.

According to that our department is being supposed to be deeply engaged in this phase, covering an important role.
