Job Title Automation Test Engineer Location Ancona, Italy Automation Test Engineer for the Video Systems Development Centre at GN/Jabra, based in Ancona, Italy. About the Role: Join us in our mission of Bringing People Closer. As an Automation Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the technical maturity of our products. You will be responsible for automating test processes, conducting regression tests, and overseeing system integration and testing activities throughout the development process. You will have close collaboration with developers and testers located in Ancona, as well as other test teams located in the headquarters in Denmark and Asia. In the role as an Automation Test Engineer, you will contribute to our purpose of Bringing People Closer. You will: Design and develop automation scripts using test automation tools Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function, output, online screen, or content Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases Execute tests (manual or automated) and analyze results Evaluate, plan, and apply new testing technologies for robustness and efficiency Ensure that quality issues and defects are appropriately identified, documented, tracked, and resolved in the defect tracking system Collaborate with the software development team to ensure software requirements are met Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved Monitor debugging process results and report on the status of testing Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies The Team You Will be Part of You will be part of a global engineering organization with skilled hardware, firmware and tester team members focusing on audio/video products Your team works closely with the Video Business Unit to provide the "innovation muscle" and maximize growth. Your team owns end-to-end accountability for the delivery of innovation to the BU, delivering products on time, cost, scope, and quality, in full alignment with the Video Systems Division and roadmaps. Your contribution is appreciated, and you will: Ensure that all releases meet quality standards and are free of critical defects. Ensure that all releases comply with certification requirements from major players such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Google. To succeed in the role, we imagine that you: Have a Degree in Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields or similar specialized High School qualifications. Have Python programming skills or similar expertise and experience with automated testing frameworks. Have a strong understanding of embedded software development processes, tools, and technologies. Demonstrate interpersonal skills, to establish a good rapport, generate enthusiasm and negotiate priorities. Demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills in English and Italian, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Demonstrate a sense of humor, tact, and flexibility in changing situations, are strong in forming relationships, great teammate, dynamic, creative with the ability to work on own initiatives. Are willing to join engaged engineering teams with a culture of feedback, open communication, and team orientation. Preferably have proficiency in test reporting tools (e. g. , Azure DevOps, JIRA). Are possibly familiar with agile development methodologies (e. g. , SAFe).
