Based in Milan and reporting to the Regional Head of Aviation Underwriting based in Paris, you will work closely with your regional team (including the local UW team in Milan) as well as with clients and brokers to develop personalised solutions as well as developing new relationships.

You will be responsible for underwriting profitable new and renewal business to meet Aviation targets regionally including global elements.

Your responsibilities also include negotiating participation, pricing and terms & conditions, acquiring new business and retaining existing business.

You will cover a large geographical area: Italy / France / Benelux / Spain / Portugal / Turkey / Greece / Malta / Middle East / Africa.

Key ResponsibilitiesIn this role you will…

Underwrite in line with Aviation governance framework e. g.

Underwriting Authorities, global MSU, Underwriting Guidelines, Rules and PrinciplesEnsure contract certainty is achieved on all accounts at time of inceptionActively drive involvement of functional areas in Underwriting process, including Distribution, Claims, OperationsContribute to the development and execution of regional Underwriting strategy for AviationBuild and maintain positive relationships with key producers and clients and other stakeholders (e. g.

risk managers)Ensure accurate policy documentation is issued to producers, or that producers have issued documentationKey RequirementsYou have a degree in Engineering, Economics or other appropriate disciplineYou are fluent in Italian and EnglishYou are interested in working in an international environmentYou are a team playerYou can work under pressureCapable of leveraging data and analytics to make business more efficient and effectiveYou create relationships and communicate at all levels and with a wide range of peopleYou embrace agile working and engage in constant learning, to adapt to internal and external customer needsYou are curious and a fast learnerYou are interested in the Aviation industryExperience in underwriting / broking / insurance industry would be a plusAllianz Group is one of the most trusted insurance and asset management companies in the world.
