Moody's EMEA Project & Infrastructure Finance team is part of Moody's global group and in charge of rating all utility, corporate infrastructure and project finance issuers based in Europe, Middle East and Africa.

This role is within the utilities and corporate infrastructure team, which specialises in rating electric, gas and water utilities as well as transport infrastructure companies (airports, ports and toll roads).

This is an exciting role where you will be ensuring rating accuracy, providing credit analysis and responding to investors inquiries on a portfolio of EU-based utilities and/or issuers.

This opportunity involves developing/maintaining an in-depth knowledge of the relevant sectors, financing and capital structures, coordinating with colleagues and across other rating groups, and writing thought-leading research.

Your mission is to:

- Conduct initial and ongoing fundamental credit analysis on your dedicated portfolio.

- Present credit analysis on a regular basis to rating committees and other internal analytical meetings to assign and maintain credit ratings.

- Write topical, insightful and high-quality research on rated companies, sector wide and cross-sector credit themes.

- Present Moody's views at outreach events including investor briefings, teleconferences, conference participations and third-party events.

Travel will be encouraged.

- Maintain strong relationships with issuers, investors, intermediaries, regulators and governmental representatives.

- Provide mentorship for more junior analysts.

- 5-7 years' experience of credit analysis experience, including confirmed financial analysis experience gained from a recognised institution or audit company.

- Understanding of the utility and infrastructure sectors.

- Understanding of ESG issues impacting companies.

- Excellent communication skills - communicate clearly and succinctly, both verbally and in writing.

- Ability to build strong relationships at all levels and represent the Moody's brand efficiently at a senior level.

- Strong quantitative proficiency and confirmed analytical skills.

- BSc / MSc background in relevant areas.

- ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CFA qualification would be a plus.

- Highly organised and efficient, with ability to multi-task and to meet tight deadlines.

- Sound judgement - capable of developing independent opinion and defending own views.

- Proficiency in English crucial, Fluency in Italian mandatory
