Service Team Leader
Your role and responsibilities:
As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for commissioning and maintaining ABB Drives.
You will ensure that commissioning and service activities are completed efficiently and cost-effectively, in accordance with specifications, standards, and safety requirements.
The work model for the role is: #LI-onsite.
You will be mainly accountable for:Performing commissioning and troubleshooting in drive applications in the Marine industry. Performing service on-call jobs on operating vessels, including installation supervision, startup, testing, and acceptance testing of the systems, in assistance to the classification societies and the Customer. Assisting in continuous improvement of project design by providing input on commissioning activities, identifying and recommending solutions to meet business, customer, and safety needs, and providing relevant information. Applying and improving processes and tools to ensure effective project/service delivery. Ensuring quality in all assigned tasks. Preparing timesheets, service reports, expense reports, and other documents immediately following the work assignment. Following ABB policies and business ethics, and working in accordance with ABB procedures using applicable tools. Reporting opportunities and problems to management. Qualifications for the role: You are highly skilled in shipbuilding and knowledge of ABB products is a plus. You have at least 2 years of experience in commissioning and/or service relevant products and systems. You possess enhanced knowledge of technical documents (data sheets, electrical drawings, P&ID diagrams, etc. ).
You have good knowledge of marine/industrial and real-time processes with a particular focus on power generation, distribution, and marine processes. You are passionate about responsiveness and have a quick-acting mindset.
You possess great flexibility and enjoy working in a team.
You have out-of-the-box thinking and exceptional problem-solving skills. You hold a degree in electrical engineering or related fields focused on power electronics. You are at ease communicating in Italian and English. You are ready for extensive global travel with short notice. What's in it for you?
