Backend Engineer We are looking for backend engineers who have experience working in an agile environment and understand the importance of a DevOps mindset in delivering applications. You should be able to adapt to standards, technologies, and approaches in producing mission-critical solutions. As a problem-solver, you are expected to work within a multidisciplinary team and IT organizations across various ING entities - thus, communicating your ideas plays a key role in your day-to-day job.

Requirements: Competent to proficient level of knowledge with the following:Java 8 and/or 11Spring Boot, Spring Batch, etc. RESTful API developmentSQL and ORM technologies such as HibernateNice to have: Apache Kafka, Maven, IntelliJ, JUnit, MockitoGood knowledge of code versioning tools and CI/CD platforms (e. g. , Git, Azure)Database migrations tool: FlyWayContainerization software: Docker and OpenShiftExperience working on CI/CD PipelinesProduction support Test automation: JUnit Testing, Test Driven Development, and Spring Integration Testing

Willing to learn and understand: Cloud-based technologiesIT RiskMicroservice ArchitectureWorking Conditions: Full time
